The Petzl PANTIN is a foot ascender developed to make rope progression more efficient and less tiring , assisting the user during ascents in rope access systems, work at height, technical rescue, and industrial mountaineering .
Used as a complement to the Petzl CROLL , ASCENSION or BASIC ascenders, the PANTIN allows the user to utilize leg strength during ascent, maintaining a more vertical body position and providing smoother and more economical movement.
Its body is made of high-strength aluminum , while the stainless steel serrated cam offers excellent rope grip and high resistance to wear and corrosion.
The cam features a self-cleaning groove that automatically removes mud, dust, snow, and other debris, ensuring consistent performance even in harsh environments.
The Dyneema® straps offer high abrasion resistance and a long service life, while the DoubleBack buckle allows for quick, secure, and precise adjustment to the footwear.
Its compact design allows it to remain attached to the foot throughout operation, reducing the risk of tangling and providing greater freedom of movement. The rope can be removed quickly with a simple backward movement of the foot.
Available in versions for right and left feet, the PANTIN is compatible with ropes from 8 to 13 mm and is suitable for professionals working in NR-35 (Brazilian safety standard), rope access, industrial inspection, industrial maintenance, oil and gas, energy, telecommunications, confined spaces, vertical rescue, and civil construction .
